Online Help
The Computer Analyzer is probably the most
important tool and utility
that our software has to offer at the moment for
providing you with
adequate technical support. This module contains
functions for
providing information about your computer's internal
settings, for
removing potential problems and for debugging the
running processes,
as well as modifying your hosts file configuration.
It
is recommended that the computer analyzer is only used by
advanced computer users or system administrators.
The Scanning Module
This module's screenshot is presented below (the
screenshot presents
the data on a test system, the actual data that the module
will report
for your computer will most likely be different):

The following functions are available while in this
module:
|
· |

displayed.

|
· |
Fix

THIS ITEM WITH CAUTION! This button will
attempt to fix the items checked (if any). If you
are unsure about how to use this function, it is
recommended you avoid using this function or you
may actually delete important data about your
computer's settings.
|
|
· |
Save
Report - this button will save the report
(data) displayed on screen to a file. This can be
useful if you need to send the report for further
analysis by e-mail, for instance.
|
|
· |

will provide more information about the selected
item and give you an idea of how it works. This
information may not be at all times adequate.

The Process Manager Module
This module will allow you to browse the processes
that are currently running on your system. The following
screenshot presents an example
of how the report may look (please note that the
screenshot was taken
on a test system, and the processes shown on your computer
will most
likely differ):

used by the currently running process. The following
functions are available while in this feature:

Process - this will kill the selected process.
You this item with caution, as you may terminate a
process that may be important for your system's
stability.
|
|
· |
Refresh

displayed. Use this function whenever you start a
new program.
|
|

|
|
· |
Save

processes to an external file.
|
The Hosts Manager Module
This module will allow you to configure your Windows HOSTS
file.
This is an important part of your system and controls what
websites
have restricted access and which can cause damage to your
computer
if accessed (by installing trojan viruses on your
computer, etc.). The following screenshot was taken on a
test system and shows how the HOSTS file looks (please
note that most likely the file will differ on each unique
computer system):

The following functions are available inside this feature:

in the list view. You can select lines by simply
clicking on them (and you can also hold down the

line
from your HOSTS file. If you are unable to access
a
website and you are sure that accessing that
website is safe, and the HOSTS file contains a
line that restricts access to that specific
website, you can comment the appropiate line.
Please note that you may be required to restart
your system for changes to take effect.

The following options are available here:

removal of selected items (safe mode) - if
this is checked, whenever you attempt to remove an
item in Scan mode you will be prompted for the
deletion of that item
|

Include

this option is checked, a list of running
processes will be included whenever the software
will generate a log file in Scan mode.
